Unusual vintage Egyptian Revival necklace featuring a long sequence of individually carved scarab-form beads in mottled blue, turquoise, green and earthy brown tones, separated by small gold tone spacers. The design culminates in a large oval blue-green enamelled ceramic scarab pendant, creating a wonderfully characterful interpretation of ancient Egyptian jewellery motifs.
The irregular colouring and surface variation across the smaller scarabs gives the necklace an aged, archaeological quality, with each bead displaying its own combination of green, turquoise and brown tones.
