A beautiful vintage Art Deco era (c.1920s–1930s) bracelet featuring five round reverse-painted Morpho butterfly wing panels beneath bubble glass. Signed Made in Brazil, each cabochon showcases a hand-painted tropical coastal scene with palm trees, beaches and shimmering skies. The natural iridescence of the Morpho butterfly wings creates vivid flashes of blue, turquoise and violet as the bracelet moves in the light.
Set in antique bronze tone metal with linked coin-style settings, this is a lovely example of early Brazilian butterfly wing jewellery and a collectible piece from the Art Deco period.
